Leadership

Where molecular science meets deal making.

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. J. David Warren

20+years in peptide science
17issued patents
53+publications and book chapters

More than two decades of experience in medicinal chemistry, peptide science and translational research. Adjunct Associate Professor of Research in Biochemistry and Biophysics at Weill Cornell Medicine and former Director of the Milstein Chemistry Core Facility.

He has advanced multiple compounds into preclinical development, holds 17 issued United States and international patents, and has authored or coauthored more than 53 peer reviewed publications and book chapters.

His published work includes foundational mechanistic research on SS 31, now known as elamipretide. Elamipretide was later developed by others as Forzinity and received FDA accelerated approval in September 2025 for Barth syndrome. That development and approval are separate from Dr. Warren's research contribution. Adaptogenics did not develop and does not own elamipretide.

Published mechanistic research on SS 31 (elamipretide). Not an Adaptogenics asset.
